Baseball Recap: Melrose Takes a Loss

Melrose lost against Memphis Central back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Melrose Golden Wildcats lost 19-2 to the Memphis Central Warriors.

Melrose's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Memphis Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Melrose will venture away from home to take on Raleigh-Egypt at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Memphis Central, they will head out to square off against Lakeland Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memphis Central will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
