Softball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

Northridge lost against Brookwood back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Northridge Jaguars lost 12-2 to the Brookwood Panthers.

Northridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Grace Reed, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Another was Madelyn Abston, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Northridge's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Brookwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Northridge Jaguars take on Fayette County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Brookwood, they will host Paul W. Bryant at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paul W. Bryant has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.5 runs per game on average), something Brookwood will no doubt try to take advantage of.
