Baseball Recap: Monroeville Takes a Loss

Monroeville came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-1 to the St. Mary Central Catholic Panthers. The Eagles have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Monroeville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Hedrick, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Monroeville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-10.

Coming up, Monroeville will be taking part in a tournament against Margaretta at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, they will square off against Danbury at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
