Recap: Northwest Jaguars vs. Quince Orchard Cougars
The Northwest Jaguars lost against the Quince Orchard Cougars back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Northwest fell 34-21 to Quince Orchard. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northwest in their matchups with Quince Orchard: they've now lost six in a row.
Northwest's loss came despite strong showings from Tony Berry and Jayden Vongprachanh-Nelson. Berry gained 109 total yards and two touchdowns, while Vongprachanh-Nelson threw for 190 yards and a touchdown.
Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Quince Orchard, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will take on Einstein at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Einstein will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Northwest is ranked 40th). As for Quince Orchard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sherwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sherwood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
