Lejeune came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Southside, but Javonn McCall wouldn't allow it. The Seahawks were the clear victors by a 27-6 margin over the Devilpups on Thursday for which the team can thank McCall, who rushed for 149 yards and one TD while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making two total tackles (2.0 for loss).

One reason for the win was Southside's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. Leading the way was Ke'Monee Brimage with three.

Southside is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 6.48 yards per carry in those games compared to only 2.67 in the others. As for Lejeune, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.
