Basketball Recap: Global Concepts Takes a Loss

Global Concepts lost against Tapestry back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Global Concepts Gators received a blow as they fell 69-53 to the Tapestry Thunderhawks.

When it comes to explaining why Global Concepts lost, don't look at Shawndale Lipscomb. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 15 on his way to 16 points. The dominant performance gave Lipscomb a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthuan Villalobo, who posted ten points and three steals.

Global Concepts' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Tapestry, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2.

Global Concepts will face off against West Seneca West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tapestry, they will venture away from home to square off against Eden at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Eden will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Tapestry surely won't give up without a fight.
