Soccer Recap: Altus Comes Up Short

Altus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Southeast Spartans, falling 4-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Altus of the 9-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Altus' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Southeast, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Altus didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 defeat against Duncan on the 18th. As for Southeast, they will take on Elgin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast will be up against Elgin's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.67 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
