Soccer Game Preview: Beardstown vs. Macomb

The Beardstown Tigers will face off against the Macomb Bombers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Beardstown's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Beardstown came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-0 to Galesburg.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Macomb was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against Peoria Christian, falling 5-1. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Macomb couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Taylor Mann, who's now up to three this season.

Macomb now has a losing record of 1-2-2. As for Beardstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1.
