Baseball Recap: Dunn Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dunn can now relate to. They fell just short of the Duarte Falcons by a score of 7-5 on Friday.

Theodore Anderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Dunn's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-2 (and 1-3 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Burry, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Dunn's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5. As for Duarte, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-12.

Dunn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Duarte, they will challenge New Roads at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
