Volleyball Recap: Hiwassee Dam Takes a Loss

Hiwassee Dam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Fannin County Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Hiwassee Dam was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 20 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20.

Hiwassee Dam's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fannin County, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-9.

Coming up, Hiwassee Dam will square off against Robbinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fannin County, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Gilmer on the 28th.
