Gwynn Park took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Surrattsville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Yellowjackets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Hornets on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted since September 10th.

Gwynn Park has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Surrattsville, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gwynn Park will square off against rival Oxon Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Surrattsville is set to challenge their familiar foe Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
