Softball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Moore last Thursday, Cornerstone Christian Academy came back down to earth. Cornerstone Christian Academy lost 22-10 to the Presentation Toppers on Thursday.

Ava Petrey stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Alexis Cyphert was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Presentation, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Cornerstone Christian Academy and Presentation will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Cornerstone Christian Academy sees the field they'll take on Jeffersontown at 5:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Presentation, their break will end when they face Moore at 5:30 p.m. on April 7.
