Soccer Recap: Elk Grove Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wheeling on Friday, Elk Grove came back down to earth. The Grenadiers lost 3-0 to the Prospect Knights on Wednesday. Elk Grove were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Prospect apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Elk Grove now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Prospect, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elk Grove will square off against Maine South at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Prospect, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hersey at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hersey will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Prospect surely won't give up without a fight.
