Volleyball Recap: Northwest Christian Extends Winning Streak to Five

Northwest Christian had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Benjamin Franklin Chargers 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

One reason for the win was Northwest Christian's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-20, 25-15.

Izabella Bombinski paced Northwest Christian's offense, picking up 20 kills. Bombinski got some help from Tatum Naber and her 42 assists. Ava Parsons and Lily Brumbaugh kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Northwest Christian's record is now 19-5. As for Benjamin Franklin, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Northwest Christian will take on rival ALA - Ironwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Benjamin Franklin is set to challenge their familiar foe San Tan Foothills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
