Recap: Woodland Beavers vs. Ridgefield Spudders
The Woodland Beavers entered their tilt with the Ridgefield Spudders with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Woodland came out on top against Ridgefield by a score of 28-21 on Friday. For Woodland, this counts as revenge for the 31-14 defeat Ridgefield walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Elijah Andersen was on fire: he rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 55 receiving yards. Andersen was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards.
Despite the loss, Ridgefield still got an impressive performance from Cly Stephens, who rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns.
Woodland's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Ridgefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Woodland will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. Ridgefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
