Basketball Recap: Wiggins Takes a Loss

Wiggins played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 70-43 loss at the hands of the Eaton Reds. The Tigers were down 57-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Eaton found their leader in sophomore Crew Haythorn, who shot 69% from the field on his way to 24 points and seven rebounds. Those 69% field goal percentage set a new season-high mark for Haythorn. The team also got some help courtesy of Ely Madaleno, who posted seven points and three steals.

Wiggins dropped their record down to 9-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Eaton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

As of now, neither Wiggins nor Eaton have any future games scheduled.
