Falcon hasn't had much luck against Palmer Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Falcon Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Palmer Ridge Bears at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Falcon is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Mitchell: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Falcon blew Mitchell out of the water with a 63-4 final score. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Marauders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Falcon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Hunter, who posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Hunter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Karly Ohlrich was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.
Falcon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 26 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palmer Ridge). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Mesa Ridge 74-28. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Grizzlies are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Palmer Ridge's win came from a few key players Falcon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Madison Curtis, who went 8-for-10 to rack up 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucy Zamborelli, who went 6-for-9 on her way to 16 points and five steals.
Falcon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.8 points over those games. As for Palmer Ridge, their record is now 15-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Falcon has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Palmer Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Falcon lost to Palmer Ridge on the road by a decisive 48-32 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Falcon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
