St. Joseph Regional came out on top against Glen Rock on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Green Knights took their game against the Panthers 7-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Green Knights, who have now won seven matches in a row.

Matthew Tomassi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

On the hitting side, St. Joseph Regional let Ryan McCabe and Kevin Comblo run wild. McCabe went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Comblo went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Comblo a new career-high. Aiden Reilly also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

St. Joseph Regional's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Glen Rock, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Regional will host Bergen Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Glen Rock, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Butler at 4:00 p.m.
