Football Game Preview: Cosby Eagles vs. Hampton Bulldogs + How To Watch

Cosby is 0-6 against Hampton since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hampton will be up against a hot Cosby team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Eagles blew past Sunbright 30-0 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.

Cosby can attribute much of their success to David Baker, who rushed for 118 yards and four touchdowns, and Gage McCarty, who rushed for 114 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Baker a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cosby was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 243 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 236 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, while Hampton put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Hancock County. The Bulldogs blew past the Indians, posting a 62-0 win. The Bulldogs' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Cosby's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Hampton, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
