Football Recap: Walker Wolverines vs. Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots
Friday just wasn't the day for Walker's offense. They were beaten by the Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots 48-0 on Friday. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
A big part of Mount Pisgah Christian's victory came down to the chemistry between Ryan Dean and his top target Geno Houchins. Dean threw for 128 yards and a touchdown while Houchins gained 97 total yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Houchins a new career-high in rushing yards (52).
Walker's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-8.
Walker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. on November 15th.
