Volleyball Recap: George Walton Academy Takes a Loss

George Walton Academy extended their losing streak to ten on Monday, dropping them down to 5-17. They lost 3-0 to the Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-8. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethlehem Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evie Powell, who had 16 assists and 12 digs. Those 16 assists gave Powell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Vascocu, who had 16 digs and two aces.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. George Walton Academy will host Stratford Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they will welcome Westminster Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
