Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Homestead Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cadets of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Homestead's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-20, 27-25.

Alex Korte paced Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's offense, picking up five kills. Korte got some help from Mason Pankop and his 18 assists. Finally, Korte was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Homestead, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.
