The Weslaco East Wildcats will square off against the Porter Cowboys at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Porter took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Weslaco East, who comes in off a win.
Weslaco East gave up the first  runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They blew past Donna 11-2. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Antonio Solis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 12 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-5 with three  RBI.

 In other batting news, Weslaco East let  Aiden Gonzalez and  Tyler Gonzalez run wild. Aiden  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Tyler  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Those  three  runs gave  Aiden a new career-high.  Jayden Del Villar was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile,  after soaring to ten  runs the game before, Porter was a bit more limited  in their  game  on Friday. They lost  12-1 to Pace. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
 Porter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Devin Esquivel, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases.
 Weslaco East is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Porter, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
Porter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Weslaco East has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .470.
