Basketball Recap: Bronaugh Wildcats vs. Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers
Bronaugh came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 75-35 loss at the hands of the Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Will Twiss had another great game (as he tends to do), shooting 65% from the field en route to 31 points for Jefferson Independent Day. Thanks to that strong game, Twiss now owns an excellent 47.9% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Simon Studer, who posted 12 points.
Bronaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Jefferson Independent Day, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bronaugh will head out to face off against Northeast at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jefferson Independent Day, they will venture away from home to challenge Lockwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
