Basketball Recap: Peebles Takes a Loss

Peebles lost against Lynchburg-Clay back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Peebles Indians took a 42-26 bruising from the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Lynchburg-Clay was led to victory by Adilyn Carraher and Lily Ferguson. Carraher went 5 of 9 to rack up 13 points, while Ferguson posted ten points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Ferguson a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joslyn Rockey, who had two points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Peebles' record is now 4-17. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.

Peebles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they will be taking part in a tournament against Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
