Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Mary Rams vs. Hagerty Huskies

After both having extra time off, the Lake Mary Rams and the Hagerty Huskies will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lake Mary has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Hagerty will arrive with four straight victories.

Lake Mary lost 3-0 to Lake Howell on Tuesday.

Lake Mary was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-10.

Hagerty won the last time they faced Oviedo, and Seth Davis did his part to make sure it happened again. The Huskies put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win last Monday thanks in part to Davis, who had 13 assists and eight digs. He has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last four times he's played.

Hagerty not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Oviedo between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-18.

Hagerty's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Lake Mary, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Lake Mary suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hagerty in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
