Soccer Game Preview: McComb vs. Richland

McComb is 0-3 against Richland since January of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The McComb Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Richland Rangers at 5:30 p.m. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

McComb will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Raymond on Monday. McComb won by a goal and slipped past Raymond 4-3.

Meanwhile, Richland kept a clean sheet against Itawamba Agricultural on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Indians out 1-0. Emily Parker had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Rangers.

Richland now has a winning record of 7-6. As for McComb, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

McComb might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Richland when the teams last played back in January. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point McComb was down 6-0.
