Genoa Christian Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 33-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tree of Life Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Genoa Christian Academy has scored all season.
Genoa Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Avery Norman, who scored eight points. Norman scored a full 30.8% of Genoa Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Reagan Schuck was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.
Genoa Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-5. As for Tree of Life Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
Genoa Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Shekinah Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Shekinah Christian's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Genoa Christian Academy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Tree of Life Christian will take on Grandview Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Grandview Heights is ranked 470th, while Tree of Life Christian is ranked 479th).
