Soccer Recap: Dixie Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Dixie had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Skyridge Falcons by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Flyers couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Melvin Contreras.

The win made it two in a row for Skyridge and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Dixie wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Morgan on the 7th. As for Skyridge, they will challenge Syracuse at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
