Basketball Recap: Sky View's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sky View had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-32 victory over the Green Canyon Wolves. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Wolves back in January, they had to take a 64-56 defeat.

Sky View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Claire Fischer, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 17 boards. Fischer's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Mollee Allen was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to nine rebounds and five assists.

Sky View was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They racked up six more assists than Green Canyon's also-impressive total of ten.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Talyssa Nelson, who went 6 of 15 to rack up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kloey Tensmeyer, who posted eight points.

Sky View's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Green Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Sky View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Green Canyon, they will welcome Timpanogos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
