Basketball Recap: Lylah Brown Key Part of Team Effort in Blue Devils Win

David Anderson won the last time they faced Bridgeport and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Blue Devils blew past the Bulldogs 47-23. The Blue Devils pushed the score to 45-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

David Anderson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lylah Brown, who shot 44% from the field en route to 15 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The last time Brown's shooting accuracy was this high was back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Smyth, who posted 12 points in addition to six steals and five assists.

David Anderson has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, David Anderson will host Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bridgeport, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Wood County Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 4.
