Soccer Recap: River Valley Takes a Loss

River Valley managed to keep up with Johnstown-Monroe until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Vikings came up short against the Johnnies, falling 5-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to River Valley of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Daegan Endicott, which was the first he's scored this season.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Johnstown-Monroe, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Valley will welcome West Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Johnstown-Monroe, they will be playing at home against Amanda-Clearcreek at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
