Basketball Recap: Merrimack Takes a Loss

Merrimack was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 53-28 to the Trinity Pioneers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tomahawks of the 44-28 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Merrimack's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Trinity, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Merrimack and Trinity could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Hampshire Rankings. Merrimack will square off against Bedford at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th down 78 places (81 vs. 3). Meanwhile, Trinity (ranked 60th) will meet Concord Christian (ranked 20th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
