Softball Recap: Smith County Beats Jackson County for Their Third Straight Win

Smith County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Jackson County Blue Devils 14-3. That's more bragging rights for the Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Smith County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Jackson County, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smith County will challenge Watertown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against York Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson County has given up an average of 16.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
