Baseball Recap: Purdue Broad Ripple Wins Going Away Against Christel House

Purdue Broad Ripple gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 19-7 margin over the Christel House Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lynx.

Dylan Smith made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Smith was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Daniel Pratt was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Carter Brooks, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Purdue Broad Ripple now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Christel House, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Purdue Broad Ripple will square off against Crothersville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christel House, they will venture away from home to face off against Indianapolis Metropolitan at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
