Preview: Florence Christian Eagles vs. Williamsburg Academy Stallions
After three games on the road, Florence Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Williamsburg Academy Stallions at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Florence Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Williamsburg Academy is ranked 103rd).
Florence Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 60-39 defeat at the hands of Wilson Hall.
Meanwhile, even though Oakbrook Prep scored an imposing 68 points on Saturday, Williamsburg Academy still came out on top. Williamsburg Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Oakbrook Prep 70-68. The win was just what Williamsburg Academy needed coming off of a 63-28 defeat in their prior game.
Wes Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Teague Ward, who scored 13 points.
Florence Christian's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-12. As for Williamsburg Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
