Basketball Recap: West Morris Central Takes a Loss

On Friday, the West Morris Central Wolfpack were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-36 to the New Providence Pioneers. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Morris Central now has a losing record at 2-3. As for New Providence, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

West Morris Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Scotch Plains-Fanwood at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Providence, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Mount St. Dominic Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mount St. Dominic Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something New Providence surely won't give up without a fight.
