The Patrick Henry Patriots fell just short of the Fleming Colonels by a score of 50-47 on Wednesday. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Colonels recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Patrick Henry's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Fleming, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry and Christiansburg will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Patrick Henry is facing Christiansburg at the right time seeing as Christiansburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Fleming will take on Heritage in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
