Softball Recap: Pine Ridge Comes Up Short

Pine Ridge lost against Crescent City back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Raiders, falling 18-8. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addie Pettit and Aliyah Campos stepped up to the plate in a big way. Pettit scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Campos scored a run while going 2-for-3. Campos also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Pine Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14-1. As for Crescent City, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-9 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Ridge will venture away from home to face off against Atlantic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sharks have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Crescent City, they will head out to take on Palatka at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
