Volleyball Game Preview: Camarillo Scorpions vs. Bishop Diego Cardinals

The Camarillo Scorpions will be taking part in a tournament against the Bishop Diego Cardinals on Saturday. Camarillo will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Camarillo got the win against Moorpark by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Camarillo was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-11.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bishop Diego, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Dunn on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Earwigs: they've now won seven in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bishop Diego took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-15.

Camarillo pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Bishop Diego, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Camarillo couldn't quite get it done against Bishop Diego in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can Camarillo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
