Softball Recap: Whitwell Tigers vs. Ooltewah Owls

Whitwell won the last time they faced Ooltewah, and things went their way on Monday too. The Whitwell Tigers walked away with an 8-4 win over the Ooltewah Owls.

Kailee Yarber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off 14 hits. Yarber has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Yarber was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.

In other batting news, Whitwell got a big performance out of Kenslie McFalls, who went 1-for-4 with a home run. Mallory O'Neal was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
