Hudson is 9-1 against Gulf since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cobras will face off against the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Hudson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Fivay with a sharp 17-1 victory on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cobras considering their two-run performance the match before.

Ryder Tysko and Owen Wilson were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Tysko struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Wilson pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Tysko went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Wilson scored a run while going 2-for-4. Hudson is undefeated when Tysko posts two or more runs, but 4-14 otherwise.
In other batting news, Hudson got a massive performance out of Aiden Pace, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was Pace's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Mitchell, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Hudson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Gulf never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Gibbs. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.
Reid Wilson was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Josh Wilcoxson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
Gulf is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Hudson, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-14 record.
Hudson took their win against Gulf when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 9-2 score. Do the Cobras have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buccaneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
