Basketball Recap: Philip Barbour Comes Up Short

If Philip Barbour was riding high fresh off their 53-27 takedown of Robert C. Byrd on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Philip Barbour Colts were beaten by the Logan Wildcats 59-32 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 62-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Philip Barbour's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izzy Knotts, who posted 11 points along with four blocks and three steals. Finley Carpenter was another key player, putting up seven points and seven assists.

Philip Barbour's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Logan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
