Baseball Game Preview: Thunderbird Titans vs. Paradise Honors Panthers

For the second straight game, Thunderbird will face off against Paradise Honors. The Titans will welcome the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thunderbird is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Thunderbird fell victim to Paradise Honors and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

For Paradise Honors' part, the result came thanks to Michael Nicolini Jr.'s shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks. Nicolini Jr. has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Paradise Honors' win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Andon Baker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The victory (which was Paradise Honors' fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Thunderbird, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-9.
