Volleyball Recap: Moriarty Pintos vs. Los Alamos Hilltoppers
Moriarty lost against Los Alamos back in October and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pintos took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilltoppers.
While Moriarty ultimately came up short, they really made Los Alamos work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 22-25, 25-18, 25-15.
Michaela Dunn paced Moriarty's offense, picking up seven kills. Dunn really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. Kristina Means controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Moriarty has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Los Alamos, they pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
