Recap: Treasure Coast Titans vs. Martin County Tigers

It was a good run, but the Treasure Coast Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Martin County by a score of 33-31. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Treasure Coast in their matchups with Martin County: they've now lost six in a row.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ariel Horne, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Jade Ware was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Leading Martin County to victory were Becca Witt and Karolina Ramirez. Witt dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Ramirez scored 14 points. Ramirez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Treasure Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Martin County, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Treasure Coast and Centennial will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Treasure Coast likes a good challenge. Martin County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dwyer at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. Dwyer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Martin County is ranked 30th).
