Volleyball Recap: Ohara Bledsoe and Bella Roland Secure Win for Lapel

Lapel had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Madison-Grant Argylls as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lapel never let Madison-Grant on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17, 25-20.

Leading Lapel to victory were Bella Roland and Ohara Bledsoe. Roland had ten digs and four aces, while Bledsoe had five digs. Those ten digs gave Roland a new career-high.

Lapel's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Madison-Grant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lapel will host Alexandria-Monroe at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Madison-Grant, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Oak Hill at 6:00 p.m.
