Volleyball Recap: Hialeah-Miami Lakes Beats Miami Beach for Their Third Straight Victory

While Hialeah-Miami Lakes's win against Miami Beach wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hi-Tides 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (102-95) Hialeah-Miami Lakes actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 15-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Zachary Webb paced Hialeah-Miami Lakes' offense, picking up ten kills. Webb got some help from Giovanni Gonzalez and his 31 assists. Finally, Joshuan Miranda and Nicholas Dunlap kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked four attacks.
