Football Recap: Highland Springs Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Hough

Highland Springs is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Hough. The Springers fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 17-14.

A big part of Hough's win came down to the chemistry between Ethan Royal and his top target Jayden White. Royal threw for 247 yards and two TDs while White picked up 113 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave White a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).

Highland Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hough, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland Springs will welcome Dinwiddie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hough, they will host Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
