Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Frontier School of Excellence

Frontier School of Excellence proved they can win big back in December of 2024 (they won by 25) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 win over the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-58 back in December of 2024.

Leading Frontier School of Excellence to victory were Jakeem Davis and Henry Uti. Davis posted 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Uti almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Davis is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Merwis Ramirez Rodriguez, who had three points in addition to nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals.

Frontier School of Excellence was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Uriel Noorollah, who put up 14 points. Teddy Zitron was another key player, putting up 17 points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Frontier School of Excellence, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. As for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Frontier School of Excellence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-16 win against Academie Lafayette on the 14th. As for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 46-26 victory against Frontier STEM on the 14th.
